All delegates who attended the workshop received a booklet containing pres enta- tions and published reports from the past fifteen years, with the last one covering the years of 2002 - 2007. The seventh such booklet is being planned for years 2008 - 2013 and will include financial reports, the names of all contributors, the graduates and their sponsors as well as photographs. Travels and Meetings November 2011 . I attended the Holodomor Memorial services at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City commemorating the 78th Anniversary of Ukraine’s Genocide of 1932 - 1933. His Beatitude Svi ato- slav Shevchuk, Major Archbishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Church, was among the clergy who officiat- ed at the Memorial Panakhyda (requiem service). December 2011 . Together with Scholarship Committee members, I welcomed Rev. Chaplain Stepan Sus from Ukra ine in the Matawan UNWLA Scholarship Office. During his stay, we visited the Consistory of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the United States of America, the library, St. Sophia Seminary and St. Andrew Memorial Church in South Bound Brook, New Jersey. Mar ch 2012 . Together with Honorary UNWLA President Anna Krawczuk, I met with Ella Lamakh from Kyiv at the United Nations headquarters in New York City. Ella Lamakh participated in a roundtable discussion on the topic of HIV/AIDS in Ukraine. Afterwards, we at tended a roundtable discussion orga- nized by Nadia Shmigel, NGO (nongovernmental organization) representative to the United Nations from the World Federation of Ukrainian Women’s Organizations (WFUWO) on the topic “Rural Women: Re- alities and Initiatives tow ards Empowerment.” At the invitation of the Ambassador from Ukraine to the United Nations, Yuriy Sergeyev, we attended a meeting where we met with Olena Suslova of Ukraine and with WFUWO organizations’ representatives. August 2012 . Filomena Procek, Di rector of the Santa Olga Insti- tute (in Prudentopolis, Parana, Brazil), together with Catechists of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Ce- cilia Daciuk and Vera Julek, vis- ited the UNWLA Scholarship office in Matawan, NJ. Our dis- cussion centered on scholarship issu es and education in Brazil. We have an extremely high regard for their dedication to education, es- pecially for giving young girls of Ukrainian descent an opportunity to reach their goals . As delegates from the UNWLA, Honorary UNWLA President Anna Krawczuk and I at- tended the 10th Congress of the World Federation of Ukrainian Women’s Organizations (WFUWO) in Toronto, Canada. I was the secretary at the roundtable “The Role of Ukrainian Women at the United Na- tions.” The moderator of the roundtable discussion w as Olha Zawerucha - Swystun who introduced the speakers — Nadia Shmigel, UNWLA Honorary President Iryna Kurowyckyj, and Dr. Chrystyna Durbak. November 2012 . While in Williamsburg, VA, I had the opportunity to meet with our long - time sponsors Orysia Stefaniw, Olena Boyko and other members of the Sisterhood of the Ascension of Our Lord Byzan- tine Catholic Church. I was pleased to have a chance to thank them for their generosity and thoughtful- ness in sponsoring students over many years.
