РОМА ШУГАН, ФІНАНСОВА СЕКРЕТАРКА ЕКЗЕКУТИВИ На початку кожного року приготовляла і висилала рахунки до відділів за обов’язкові вплати до Головної Управи і на передплату журналу “Наше Життя”. Вела всю картотеку вплат відділів на комп’ютері. Тримала зв’язок із відцілами телефоном або електронною поштою. Звітувала про фінансовий стан СУА на кожних сходинах екзеку тиви. Виготовила два обіжники до округ і відділів у справі фінансових звітів до Головної Управи. Написала спеціяльне повідомлення до округ і відділів відносно змін у сплаті податків до IRS від неурядових організацій, згідно з якими організації мусять пересилати свої фінансові звіти електронною поштою (e-postcard). Щорічно переводила перевірку урядових чисел (Federal Ю No.) всіх відділів і округ із листою від IRS і робила відповідні зміни, додатки або поправки. Брала участь у перевірці фінансів із касиркою і Контрольною Комісією СУА. Представляла бюджети СУА на засіданнях Головної Управи. ROMA SHUHAN UNWLA FINANCIAL SECRETARY During the three-year reporting period, the financial secretary prepared and sent out notices to branches at the beginning of every year regarding their financial obligation to the National Board and subscriptions for “Our Life” magazine. She maintained and updated the financial records of all branches. She was in frequent communication with branch presidents via telephone or e-mail. As financial secretary, she reported the financial states and progress of branch payments at the executive meetings. The financial secretary prepared two circulars regarding financial reports to the National Board; wrote a special letter/notice to all Regional Councils, branches and branches-at-large regarding changes in tax reporting to the IRS by non-profit organizations, whereby they have to file their annual tax reports electronically via the so-called “e-postcard” starting with the fiscal year 2007. Every year, the financial secretary compared and made corrections, additions and changes to the report sent by the IRS regarding Federal I.D. numbers of all UNWLA branches and Regional Councils; took part in auditing of UNWLA books and finances with the UNWLA treasurer and Auditing Committee. It was the task of the financial secretary to prepare preliminary budgets for UNWLA head quarters and “Our Life” magazine for the National Board meetings. She was also one of the members in the Committee for Citations of Regional Councils and Branches at the XXVIII UNWLA Convention. XXVIII Конвенція СУА 131 www.unwla.org
