They not only enjoy a friendly women’s camaraderie, but also, through their joint efforts, do great deeds for the Ukrainian community. At the request of Iryna Kurowyckyj, and after approbation by the UNWLA National Board, I agreed to chair the Publishing Committee of the Souvenir Book of the XXVIII Convention of UNWLA. I thank all the members of the Publishing Committee for all their hard work. As I end my report, I would like to express my sincerest thank you to UNWLA President Iryna Kurowyckyj and to her husband Jaroslaw for their friendly hospitality. It took months of work at their home to begin working on the brochure “A Short History” of UNWLA; it took additional months to work on preparations for publishing of this Convention Book (as well as the last one). Iryna Kurowyckyj worked on her personal computer in formulating this book. We also worked together on all correspon dence associated with this undertaking. I not only thank her for all her guidance and direction but also for all her valuable time she spent in helping me prepare this book for publication. in 2007. inactive.
