Natalka Danylenko was elected WFUWO Vice-President for USA; Mar ta Stasiuk was elected to the Auditing Committee. The Annual Meeting of WFU WO was held in October 2003. At this meeting the UNWLA President was elected to represent WFUWO on the Executive Committee of Ukrainian World Congress. Marta Kebalo, UNW LA member, reported on the work of UN. The next Annual Meeting took place in Rome, Italy. Oxana Farion and I attended, and I reported on the work of our organization. Your President wrote a 5-year report for the Congress Book and has prepared a history of our organization for the WFUWO's 50th anniversary book. Additional materials were contributed by the Honorary President. G eneral Federation of Women’s Clubs (Annual dues $80) In 1948 the UNWLA became the first ethnic organization to be accepted to this organization. The UNWLA participates at GFWC Annual Conventions. When these are held in cities where we have branches, we invite branch members to represent our organization. In June 2004, the convention was held in Florida. Neonilia Lechman and Lidia Bilous from Brach 56 represented our organization. U krainian W orld C ongress (Annual dues $350) The UNWLA has been a member of this organization since its inception, directly and indirectly. Since the 13th UCCA Congress, we belong directly and have the right to send 3 delegates to the Congress. In 2003, the UWC held its Congress in Kyiv Ukraine. The following members of our organization attended as Congress delegates: Oxana Farion, Barbara Bachynsky, and Maria Polanskyj. The UNWLA President attended as a member of the UWC. The UNWLA displayed exhibits of its work. Documents from the Great Famine and Social Welfare pictures were prepared by Marta Danyluk, and a Scholarship exhibit was prepared by M. Polanskyj. Barbara Bachynsky and Maria Polanskyj reported on their work during a workshop on Social Services programs, and Oxana Farion was one of the members of the nominating committee to Social Welfare Services. Natalia Hevko was elected to the Auditing Committee. N ational Council of Women / USA (Annual dues $200) The UNWLA became a member of this organization in 1952. The NCW/USA, which was founded by Susan B. Anthony, gave Ukrainian women access to the International Council of Women and other organizations where we could disseminate information about the oppression of Ukrainian people under the Soviet regime. Iryna Kurowyckyj was the woman of Ukrainian descent to serve as President of NCW/USA in its 107-year history. Throughout the years, other members to serve on the Executive Committee of NCW/USA were Dr. Martha Bohachevsky-Chomiak (Vice President), Camilla Huk-Smorodsky (Secretary), Maria Tomorug (Treasurer), and Stefania Pushkar (Chair of Migration Committee). All presidents of affiliated organizations serve as members of the NCW/USA National Board. In London, England, at the 1986 General Assembly, a resolution was proposed about the Chomobyl nuclear disaster. At the General Assembly in Perth Australia, Iryna Kurowyckyj attended as By Saint Sofia in Rome, Italy standing Oxana Farion, Bishop Hlib Lonchyna and Iryna Kurowyckyj after an Annual Board meeting of World Federation of Ukrainian Women's Organization. 64 XXVII Конвенція СУЛ www.unwla.org
