UNWLA BRANCH 13, CHESTER, PA, ULANA KRAVCHENKO PATRONESS PHILADELPHIA REGIONAL COUNCIL Organized 1952 Branch 13 currently has 12 members. All the members are parishioners of Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, and so the Branch serves as the caretaker of ‘things Ukrainian’ in the parish and community. Each year we organize a traditional Christmas Eve Supper, Christmas and Easter bazaars, pysanka workshops, and Holodomor Remembrance programs. There is a wide range of Ukrainian language proficiency among our members and our public, so our meetings and programs are bilingual, thereby creating a congenial atmosphere for everyone. BRANCH 13 SENDS CONGRATULATIONS AND BEST WISHES TO ALL FOR A SUCCESSFUL AND INSPIRING CONVENTION! UNWLA BRANCH 14, ATLANTA, GEORGIA BRANCH-AT-LARGE Branch 14 of the Ukrainian Women’s League of America, Inc. As of 2010, Branch 14 has eight full active members, three of whom joined during the past three years. However, 18 ladies from the state of Georgia intermittently participate in our cultural activities. During the month of August over the past four years, we have been invited to the office of the governor of the state of Georgia to accept a Ukrainian Independence Day Proclamation. Each year, we give the governor a Ukrainian gift, which is displayed for all visitors to enjoy. In 2010, we were invited to Fernbank Museum of Natural History to participate in the museum’s annual Winter Wonderland celebration. Over 20 ethnic groups were each asked to decorate a Christmas/Holiday tree reflecting their country of origin. The trees were displayed from November 17, 2010, through January 5, 2011.
