are included in the required K-3, K-4 curriculum in the majority of U.S. states. Thus, children preparing for Ukrainian school also get prepared for their American schools. I have collected all the children’s pages that had appeared in Our Life over the past two and a half years into a small book that has 26 double pages (our Saturday Svitlychky usually meet 26 times a year). At the annual meeting of the UNWLA National Board in October 2010, I presented a copy of this collection to every president of the UNWLA Regional Councils that run Svitlychky. We all read with great interest and pleasure about Svitlychky and their achievements on the pages of Our Life. The UNWLA branches that support Svitlychky have been doing an important and valuable job for over 50 years. We hope this work will continue for many, many years to come. These past three years were extremely interesting for me. While looking for stimulating and relevant materials, topics, and exercises, I had a chance to develop a creative “eye.” This would not have been possible without the support and cooperation of Our Life editors Tamara Stadnychenko and Lida Slysh, as well as Maria Duplak from Computprint.
