27, 2011, and will be held at the hotel Hanover Marriot in Whippany, New Jersey, just prior to convention proceedings. The minutes of the UNWLA Executive and National Board meetings should contain an accurate account of all the adopted resolutions as well as a detailed description of events that took place at the meetings. These minutes are important documents that reflect the history of all the committed work of UNWLA members. For this reason, I wrote a thorough account of the events, organized all associated records, and tried to give them a professional feel. I have attended most of the meetings listed above; however, since I was not present at the Executive Board meeting of August 2, 2008, minutes of this meeting were taken by UNWLA Vice President Ulana Zinych. I would like to express my gratitude to her, as well as to all other members of the Executive Board, chaired by UNWLA President Marianna Zajac, for their understanding, trust, and continuous support. Besides keeping minutes of the meetings (which is time-consuming work), during these three years I also tried to get actively involved in various UNWLA projects. I distributed fliers and brochures in churches, to UNWLA branches, and among friends to recruit new membership for the UNWLA. On September 22, 2010, together with other UNWLA members and the Ukrainian community in the United States, I participated in a rally in front of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN in New York City. On October 9, 2010,1 had the honor of being the mistress of ceremonies at celebrations dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the UNWLA. My special gratitude goes to all the members of the UNWLA Executive Board. As a new member to the Executive Board, I am deeply impressed by the accomplishments that became possible due to the work of our President Marianna Zajac and the members of the Executive Board over the past three years. Only they can tell how much inspiration, sacrifice, strength, and sleepless nights lie behind UNWLA projects. It is not enough just to say “Thank you.” I believe they deserve the deepest gratitude for all that work. I am proud to be a member of this team—a team where everyone feels the support of her colleagues in this challenging yet rewarding work. I am also happy to have an opportunity to make my modest contribution to UNWLA undertakings and charitable projects. There can be no better reward for UNWLA members than the moments of happiness, the gratitude and the prayers of the people whom we could help in difficult times— it inspires all of us for further work. 106 XXIX Конвенція СУА www.unwla.org
