will attend the UN-sponsored Fourth World Conference on Women, in Beijing, China. 6/10/95 — Executive Committee Meet ing. Noted: The President will attend the Annual Meeting of The Ukrainian Museum, carrying 43 proxy votes from UNWLA Bran ches. The following UNWLA members have been approved for membership on the Mu seum’s Board of Trustees: Vira Skop, Lidia Bilous, Katria Czerwoniak, Lidia Krushelny- tsky, Olimpia Rohowsky, Chrystyna Shoh and Ilona Shyprykevycz. These individuals still have ongoing terms on the Museum’s Execu tive Board: Anna Krawczuk, Iwanna Rozan- kowskyj, Olha Hnateyko, Maria Tomorug, and on the Board: Barbara Bachynsky and Olha Lewicky. During the July 8 Board meeting of the Museum, an interview will be held with three architects —- Bohdan Gerulak, George Sawicki and Radoslaw Zuk — with reference to their vision of the Museum rebuilding project. 7/6/95. Executive Committee Meeting. Noted: The Ukrainian Museum’s newly printed membership brochure has no mention of UNWLA as its founding organization. During the Museum’s Executive Board meeting it will be requested that all informative litera ture stemming from the UM should contain the phrase “The Ukrainian Museum was founded by the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America, Inc.” 7/29/95. Executive Committee Meeting. Noted: President of the WFUWO, Oksana Sokolyk, was informed that Anna Krawczuk and Iryna Kurowyckyj will attend the 4th UN World Conference on Women in Beijing. In order to allow Jaroslaw Sokolyk to attend the conference, Oksana Sokolyk asked I. Ku rowyckyj directly to appoint herself as a de legate from NCW, thereby giving Jaroslaw Sokolyk her own place as a delegate from WFUWO. Iryna Kurowyckyj agreed. The Board of Trustees of The Ukrainian Museum have chosen George Sawicki as the architect for the rebuilding project. A Build ing Committee has been formed, chaired by Bohdan Kotys. Members from UNWLA are: Iwanna Rozankowskyj, Olimpia Rohowsky and Lidia Bilous. 10/7/95. Executive Board Meeting. No ted: Barbara Bachynsky reported on the results of the questionnaire sent to 23rd Convention delegates, whose answers and comments will be taken into consideration by the next Convention Committee. The Press Chair reported that the Convention Book Edi torial Committee is comprised of Evhenia Ivashkiv — secretary, Stefania Kosovych — treasurer, Sophia Hewryk — English lan guage. Olha Stawnychy resigned from her post as Public Relations of WFUWO and as a representative of the WFUWO to the United Nations. October 21-22, 1995. Annual Meeting of the National Board, held at the Holiday Inn, Bridgewater, NJ. Noted: The Motion’s Com mittee: Jaroslava Rubel from the Administra tion, Sophia Hewryk, Member-At-Large from the Board, Marta Stasiuk — President of Northern New York Regional Council, Luba Kinach — President of the New England Re gional Council, Iwanna Shkarupa — Presi dent of the Ohio Regional Council. Joanna Ratych of the Auditing Committee reported that the audits were satisfactory. Irena Oleksiuk from Chicago, Illinois, was approved as the Education Chair. During 1995 all Regional Councils and many Branches celebrated the 70th anniversary of UNWLA. Marta Bohachevsky-Chomiak’s book “Bilym po bilomu” (translation of “Feminists Despite Themselves”) is being printed in Kyiv and will be ready by the end of 1995. Olga Trytyak reported on the contest in conjunction with the commemoration of the 1994 Year of the Family. Contestants, who hailed from the US, Ukraine, and nine other countries, were divided into three age groups, and submitted 426 entries — written or visual — on the theme “What Does the Word Fam ily Mean to Me.” All participants received a certificate from UNWLA, and the winning entries were awarded prizes. The best entries were published in a book form under the name “Year of the Family 1994,” and were presented to all contestants, sponsors and supporters. The various matters of the upcoming 24th Convention were presented by Conven tion Committee Chair Maria Kondrat and her Co-Chair, Chrystyna Izak. The Resolutions Committee was comprised of: Lidia Bilous, Iryna Kurowyckyj, Iwanna Hankevych, Marta Stasiuk, Luba Kinach, Iwanna Shkarupa and Lidia Kolodchyn. Iryna Kurowyckyj gave a comprehensive talk about the Conference in Beijing and showed a video on the subject. 11/18/95 Executive Committee Meeting. Noted: Anna Krawczuk reported on the meet ing of the WFUWO in Toronto on October 27-29. Delegates from UNWLA were: Anna Krawczuk, Olga Trytyak, Iryna Kurowyckyj and Jaroslava Rubel.
