The president of the Convention Com mittee for the XXI Convention, Daria Horo- dysky and the president of the Publishing committee for the Convention Book, Iryna Czajkowskyj, gave a detailed report of their activities in preparing for the XXI Conven tion. The National Board commended them for their work. Also commended were the New Jersey region for their effort and care given to the Ukrainian exhibition at the Immigration Museum and to the Detroit reg ion for their purchase of their own organiza tion facility. In discussions concerning OUR LIFE, the Board decided to give special attention to the magazine for the duration of its term of office. The scholarship chairman, Anna Krawchuk, reported that each year the number of can didates for scholarships increases, hence it is necessary to find additional sponsors. She also described the plan for a lottery project for the benefit for OUR LIFE, which she agreed to supervise and which would be car ried out during the meeting of the National Board in November 1988.
