XVIII КОНВЕНЦІЯ СУА 84 CONCLUSION One and one half years is a very short time span. However, the museum has managed to bring forth many concrete and wothwhile plans and in this way to show that it is a living entity that is growing and expanding, wishing to spread its wings for the good of Ukrainian culture. The Ukrainian Museum was founded and is about 90 percent supported by the UNWLA. Some may see this as a burden which should be eliminated.This is a mistaken assumption. Instead, we should be pround of the fact that a women’s organization,defying all hurdles, found it within its capabilities to found such a professionally organized museum. If the Ukrainian public has not yet realized the great worth of the museum, then it remains among our obligations to continue to care for and support the museum both financially and in spirit. We should continue to be the body of volunteers who aid the museum in carrying out its plans. The first one and one half years should be a prologue to an even fuller future for both the UNWLA and the museum as two institutions working hand in hand.
