НАШЕ ЖИТТЯ • Травень-Червень 2025 3 Наталя Павленко Natalie Pawlenko З приходом весни ми потрапляємо в час, який вимагає від нас роздумів, стійкости та нової мети. Природа пробуджується навколо нас — як нагадування про те, що навіть після найтемніших зим життя наполягає на своєму відновленні. Цьогоріч ця тиха обіцянка онов - лення має ще глибший сенс. Ми є свідками швидких і часто дезорієн - туючих змін у політиці Вашінґтону, особли - во щодо України. На тлі невизначености одне залишається незмінним: підтримка американським народом боротьби України за суверенітет і справедливість. Нещодавні опитування Gallup навіть показали, що біль - шість американців вважають, що підтримка України з боку США є недостатньою. І в на - шій спільноті СУА зобов’язання продовжува - ти виступати за підтримку України глибоко відчувається і потужно проявляється. У квітні 2025 р. у Вашінґгтоні, округ Колумбія, відбув - ся Саміт дій на підтримку України, організо - ваний Американською коаліцією з підтрим - ки України (одним із засновників якої є СУА), що зібрав понад 600 учасників, серед яких було понад 30 союзянок з усієї країни. 24 лютого ми відзначили треті роковини повномасштабного вторгнення pосії в Укра - їну. По всій країні наші членкині з округ і відділів організовувалися, щоб брати участь у маршах, молитися, лобіювати та стояти пліч-о-пліч з союзниками та друзями. Ви по - казали світові, що через три роки наші серця не знесилилися. Дякую кожному з вас, хто брав участь. Ваша енергія заразлива. Ваша рішучість надихає. Ваша робота має велике значення. І, дивлячись вперед, ми готувалися до ще одного важливого моменту. 1 червня ми об’єдналися в нашому другому національ - ному дні дій з назвою «Діти моляться за дітей». Ця ініціатива спрямована на підви - щення обізнаности про понад 19 000 укра - їнських дітей, які були викрадені росією, і ця кількість продовжує зростати разом з нашим обуренням. Цим простим, але потужним же - стом ми звертаємося до світу із закликом ви - знати важке становище цих дітей і відстояти їхнє право на повернення додому. Продовжуймо вести за собою зі щирістю та рішучістю. Як світло стає сильнішим з кож - ним днем, так само повинні зростати наша надія і наші дії. Ми не лише є свідками історії — ми допо - магаємо її формувати. As the season of spring unfolded, we found ourselves in a time that calls for reflection, re - silience, and renewed purpose. Nature awak - ened all around us — a reminder that even af - ter the darkest winters, life insists on returning. This year, that quiet promise of renewal carries even deeper meaning. In Washington, DC, we are witnessing swift and often disorienting changes in policy, es - pecially as it pertains to Ukraine. Amid the uncertainty, one thing remains constant: the support of the American people for Ukraine’s fight for sovereignty and justice. Recent Gallup polls even showed that a majority of Americans think that there is not enough U.S. support for Ukraine. And within our own UNWLA commu - nity, the commitment to continuing to advo - cate for support for Ukraine is deeply felt and powerfully expressed. The April 2025 Ukraine Action Summit organized by the American Co - alition for Ukraine (UNWLA is a co-founder) in Washington, DC, drew over 600 participants; among them were more than 30 Soyuzianky from around the nation. On February 24, we marked the third anni - versary of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Across the country, our members and branch - es organized, marched, prayed, lobbied, and stood shoulder-to-shoulder with allies and friends. You showed the world that, three years on, our hearts have not grown weary. To each of you who took part — thank you. Your ener - gy is contagious. Your resolve is inspiring. Your work matters. Another important moment united us on June 1, in our second national day of action called Children Praying for Children. This initi - ative seeks to raise awareness about the more than 19,000 Ukrainian children who have been abducted by russia — a number that continues to grow, along with our outrage. Through this simple yet powerful gesture, we issue a call to the world to recognize the plight of these chil - dren and stand up for their right to come home. Let us continue to lead with both heart and determination. As the light grows stronger each day, so too must our hope and our action. We are not only witnessing history — we are helping to shape it.
