If not for my Soyuzianky — my po- sestry — I would never be the person I am today. I am a better version of myself than before my time in the UNWLA. My Soyu- zianky are my superpowers. Being a Soyu - zianka is not only about being a volun - teer or promoting Ukraine and its culture and language, but also about women’s strength. We are posestry . Unfortunately, today, in 2025, we as women still live in a world where men are usually paid more for doing the same job. We should always be on the front lines to support other women, to encourage and help them rise and be the best they can be. There are many others who will do the opposite; in fact, there will be more of them. Try becoming a resource for your Soyuzianky that will help them strive. Cel - ebrate their dedication, achievements, and accomplishments as your own. While russia has attempted to destroy Ukraine, in my opinion it has in many ways made us stronger and more united. Use this mo - ment to develop lifelong friendships and be open for more people to join your life. Welcome others as you would want to be welcomed. Many women came to the U.S. alone under the UFU program, and I am sure they are searching for the posestry con - nection that I so desperately missed for many years. We have a chance to be that resource for them and make the UNWLA known and heard not only as a nonprofit organization that does amazing things for our Ukrainian culture, such as advocacy and humanitarian aid, but also as a wel - coming home away from home. We have a chance to continue with our strong Ukrainian community and diaspora that so many women worked very hard for us to have today. If we do not unite fellow Ukrainian women, are we living the vi - sion that Soyuzianky had 100 years ago? If you think that these women will return to Ukraine once the program ends, let’s give them the skills and tools to be strong when they return. Let’s give them the power and energy to restore everything that the russians have destroyed. As many newcomers say, “Ukrainian Ameri - cans honor Ukraine more than Ukrainians in Ukraine.” Let’s help them change that thinking in Ukraine by being the example and resource to "Advocate, Educate, Cul - tivate, and Care." Микито, які твої враження від конкурсу? Чи вдалося з кимось з учасників подружитися? Які плани щодо майбутньої музичної кар’єри? М.Л. Такою була моя музична «кар’єра», що брав участь переважно в «онлайн» конкурсах, для яких я лише записував відео, також виступав на деяких малих сценах. У Карнеґі-Голлі мені дуже приємно було зіграти. Маю чудові враження, зіграв у своє задоволення. Подружитися з кимось з учасників не вдалося, не докладав для цього зусиль. У майбут - ньому думаю переходити на електричну гітару і так продовжувати своє навчання. Мені було б цікаво і далі брати участь у музичних фестивалях, зокрема в Ню Йорку та інших містах США. Організатори конкурсу ставили на меті створен - ня платформи, де відбуватиметься підтримка ро - дин талановитих дітей, як родина Микити, а також надання молодим талантам можливості виступати перед великою авдиторією зачарованих і вдячних слухачів. І їм це вдалося! Дякуємо організаторам конкурсу за збереження української культури та поширення чудової української музики. Бажаємо процвітання конкурсу та удачі молодим талантам!
