НАШЕ ЖИТТЯ • Вересень-Жовтень 2024 15 monument. As VP for the United Ukrainian Organizations of Ohio (UUOO), she organized Holodo - mor exhibits and events at four major universities in Ohio. For 20 years she served as PR manager for Cleveland’s Kashtan Ukrainian Dance Ensemble. After moving to New Jersey, she joined Branch 75. She is the Arts & Museum Chair for the NJ Regional Council. As a member of the council, she organized a Holodomor talk and exhibit at Rutgers University for the 90th anniversary of the Holo - domor. Maria has two children, Larissa and Marko. She looks forward to adding her experience as a newly elected VP of the UNWLA and working with our organization’s young talent. Марія Квіт Флин, 3-тя заступниця голови для зв’язків з громадськістю Закінчила українську школу, була учасницею Пласту, учасниця школи українського танцю, брала уроки фортепіяно. У коледжі вивчала німецьку та російську мови. Проживала у Відні та працювала в ЮНІДО (Організація промислового розвитку ООН). Марія була активною членкинею української громади в Клівленді, а у 2010 р. стала членом 8-го Відділу СУА. Працювала з комітетом з реставрації пам’ятника Лесі Українці. Як віцепрезидент Об’єднаних українських організацій Огайо (СУОО) організовувала виставки та заходи, присвячені Голодомору у чотирьох великих університетах Огайо. Двадцять років працювала піар-мене- джером Клівлендського ансамблю українського танцю «Каштан». Після переїзду до Ню Джерзі приєдналася до 75-го Відділу та є референткою мистецтва та музею Округи Ню Джерзі. Як членкиня округи організувала бесіду та виставку в Ратгерському університеті з нагоди 90-х роковин Голодомору. У Марії двоє дітей — Лариса та Мар- ко. Вона з нетерпінням очікує на можливість використати наявний досвід на посаді новообраної 3-ї заступниці голови СУА та працювати з молодими талантами нашої організації. Yuliya Penchak, Secretary (Branch 10, Philadelphia, PA) Born in Zolochiv, Ukraine, Yuliya immigrated to the United States at the age of 12. With her hus - band, she raised three children who are active in the Ukrainian community and engaged in Plast activities. Yuliya has been a proud member of the UNWLA since 2009. She currently serves as a treasurer for Branch 10 in Philadelphia. She graduated from Drexel University with a BS in Finance and holds an MBA from LaSalle University. She is committed to the greater Ukrainian community, having served on the board of the Svitlychka Day Care for five years, taking on the roles of Chair, Vice-Chair, and Treasurer. As a dedicated Compliance professional, she ensures the seamless oper - ations of a local Credit Union. Юлія Пенчак, секретарка Юлія народилася у Золочеві, Україна; у дванадцятирічному віці еміґрувала до США. З чоловіком виховує трьох ді- тей, які є активними в українській громаді та належать до Пласту. Юлія є членкинею СУА з 2009 р. Наразі обіймає посаду скарбника 10-го Відділу, Філядельфія. Закінчила Дрексельський університет зі ступенем бакалавра фінансів і здобула ступінь маґістра ділового адміністрування в Університеті Сент Ла Саль. Вона віддана українській громаді, зокрема п’ять років працювала у правлінні денного садка «Світличка», де була головою, заступником голови та скарбничою. Як відданий фахівець з комплаєнсу, вона забезпечує безперебійну роботу місцевої кредитної спілки. Olga Manziy, Treasurer (Branch 10, Philadelphia, PA) Olga was born and raised in Lviv, Ukraine, where she received a Bachelor and Master of Arts in Economics from Lviv State Polytechnic University. She came to the U.S. in 2000 and received an MBA from Drexel University. Olga joined Ernst & Young in 2016, where she is currently a Manag- ing Director. Olga’s areas of expertise include development and implementation of tax strategies involved in the transfer of intangibles, valuation of intangible property, and supply chain planning. She is a member of Branch 10 and EY’s Professional Women’s League. Olga and her husband, who runs a small business, are the parents of a teenage girl. Ольга Манзій, скарбнича Ольга народилася та виросла у Львові, Україна, де здобула ступінь бакалавра та маґістра еко- номіки у Львівському державному політехнічному університеті. У 2000 р. переселилася до США та здобула ступінь маґістра ділового адміністрування в Дрексельському університеті у Філядельфії. У 2016 р. Ольга приєдналася до Ernst & Young Global Limited (відома як EY), де нині обіймає посаду директора-розпорядника. До сфери компетенції Ольги входять розробка та реалізація податкових стратегій, пов’язаних із передачею нематеріальних активів, оцін- ка нематеріальної власності та планування ланцюга постачання. Вона є членкинею 10-го Відділу СУА та Професій - ної жіночої ліги EY. Ольга та її чоловік, який займається малим бізнесом, є батьками дівчинки-підлітка. Karen Chelak, Financial Secretary (Branch 75, Maplewood, NJ) Karen is the Accounting Manager at Moye Handling Systems, the business she and her husband have owned for the past 30 years. She has spent decades promoting Holodomor awareness. As the Branch 75 Education Chair, she has organized numerous Holodomor events. For the past three years, Karen has served as the UNWLA Financial Secretary at the National level. She is an active community member of the Ukrainian American Cultural Center in Whippany, NJ. She has managed the Iskra Dance Ensemble, creating and producing Ukrainian regional costumes for several years.
