НАШЕ ЖИТТЯ • Червень 2024 27 Branch 124 Welcomes New Members ДІЯЛЬНІСТЬ ВІДДІЛІВ І ЧЛЕНКИНЬ • BRANCH & MEMBER NEWS Olya N. Czerkas , Press Secretary, Branch 124, St. Petersburg, FL Branch 124 in St. Petersburg, FL, held a special meeting on January 14 to officially welcome new branch members. Irene Badiak, branch president, made the event very memorable. She asked all new members to come forward, introduced them, and gave each future member an opportunity to tell us about themselves and their background. Irene then opened the official “Pinning Ceremo- ny.” She highlighted the importance of our organi - zation, pinned each new member with the official UNWLA pin, and congratulated each woman for becoming a member of our amazing branch. Fol - lowing the pinning, all Branch 124 members stood and welcomed our new UNWLA sisters with a joy - ous Mnohaya Lita , which filled the hall with much excitement. Following the official pinning ceremony, we all took time to personally greet each of the new members while enjoying fruit, desserts, drinks, and the deli- cious cake made especially for this important event. Welcome to our twelve new members: Luba Dack - iw, Yaryna Humeniuk, Marianna Ivasyk, Carol Kamin- sky, Natalia Kelba, Snizhana Korobchenko, Marta Ko- zlov, Christine Leddy, Inya Popovich, Zirka Puharski, Yuliia Tseholnyk, and Myla Ustymenko. We know that these women will be a great asset to our branch. They will bring great ideas, experiences, leadership skills, and talents to our growing organization. We thank our branch members for inviting friends to join our branch and encouraging them to become part of an active, friendly, and impressive organization that positively impacts so many lives.
