НАШЕ ЖИТТЯ • Грудень 2024 9 До дня Вишиванк и членкині СУА провели за - ходи у своїх містах. Святкові паради та забіги у вишиванках привернули увагу громад та ще раз підкреслили красу та багатство нашої культурної спадщини. У вересні 2024 року СУА став інформаційним партнером турів містами США Національного Балету України (Україна) та Ансамблю Україн - ського Танцю «Шумка» (Канада). Вистави, які демонстрували красу та глибину сучасної української культури, отримали схвальні відгуки від провідних медіа країни та відвідувачів. CULTIVATE: CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT In 2023, the UNWLA Cultural Committee published a guide for the Ukrainian community on decoloniz - ing Ukrainian culture, providing detailed instruc - tions on working with various institutions to correct information about Ukrainian artists and promote understanding among Americans. Committee chair Oksana Piaseckyj conducted an online presentation of the guide, which the UNWLA has since widely distributed in the community. Over the past year, many UNWLA members and others have used the toolkit to combat disinformation about Ukrainian culture. Additionally, the UNWLA supports global aware - ness of contemporary Ukraine. During winter 2023–2024, the documentary A Rising Fury was screened in several U.S. cities with the UNWLA’s support. Following the New York screening, UNWLA President Natalie Pawlenko facilitated a panel dis - cussion with Professor Timothy Snyder and the film’s director, who discussed the film and the war in Ukraine. UNWLA members organized Vyshyvanka Day events in their cities to celebrate the beauty of Ukraine’s cultural heritage. In September 2024, the UNWLA became an infor - mational partner for the U.S. tour of the National Bal - let of Ukraine and Canada’s Shumka Ukrainian Dance Ensemble. Their performances received praise from leading media outlets and audiences, showcasing modern Ukrainian culture’s beauty and depth. Спіль - но з українською неприбутковою організацією «Землячки» ми зібрали $113 тис. Ці кошти пішли Захід 50-го Відділу, Ан-Арбор, Мічиґан Branch 50 (Ann Arbor, MI) celebrates Vyshyvanka Day.
