UNWLA president Natalie Pawlenko accepted the honor on behalf of the organiza - tion, joined by former national vice president Valentyna Tabaka and for - mer national social welfare chair Olga (Oka) Hrycak. The event took place at the Ukrainian Institute of America, in a spirit of gratitude and collaboration. This award not only underscores the UNWLA’s unwavering commitment to humanitarian assistance but also con - nects its legacy to other valued part - ners such as Project C.U.R.E., Face to Face, and Ukraine Matters. This col - lective acknowledgment amplifies the shared mission to support those af - fected by conflict and crisis in Ukraine. A second significant accolade was presented by the Ukrainian Insti - tute for Women’s Public Diploma - cy. The Voice of Peace Through Val - ues and Unity award was bestowed upon the UNWLA for its enduring dedication to promoting education, cultural preservation, humanitarian aid, and advocacy. President Natalie Pawlenko received the award from Lili Shevchenko, president of the NGO (non-governmental organization) Ter - ritory of Women, which serves as the official partner of the award commit - tee. This recognition further empha - sizes the importance of fostering unity and peace through meaningful, val - ues-based work. These awards signify more than cer - emonial recognition; they reflect the UNWLA’s substantial role in shaping a resilient global Ukrainian community. Through its long-standing programs and initiatives, the UNWLA has re - mained a steadfast force in addressing the humanitarian and cultural needs of Ukrainians worldwide.
