НАШЕ ЖИТТЯ • Червень 2023 15 Photo: Oksana Sorochan Photography UNWLA president Natalie Pawlenko stressed the importance of supporting the widows of Ukraine’s brave, selfless fallen soldiers with the purchase of a pysanka of hope NFT collectible. fact, each NFT is minted exclusively for the buyer and comes with a unique code, similar to a serial number – much like certain works of art (litho - graphs, for example) are printed in limited editions and numbered. What can you do with an NFT, you ask? Since you own that numbered NFT, you can use it in any number of ways. Much like any collect - ible, be it a work of art or a baseball card, an NFT can be admired, traded, and sold. You can print and frame it, put it on a T-shirt, or use it on your Twitter profile. You could even print it and send it to Shutterfly to have a cell phone case made. The possibilities are as endless as your imagination! To launch the sale of these beautiful digital collect - ibles, the UNWLA held a press event in March in partnership with the Ukrainian Institute of Amer - ica. Both Sofika, the pysanka artist, and Anthony, the digital artist, presented their visions for the project at the event. UNWLA President Natalie Pawlenko spoke moving- ly about the ongoing brutal war in Ukraine and the need for funds to support all those in desperate need in our homeland. During the press event, a moment of silence was observed for the fallen heroes of Ukraine, after which the Ukrainian Village Voices performed a beautiful song dedicated to the heroes of Ukraine as well as a song of hope for Ukraine’s future. The event was attended by members of the press and by television media. Among the attendees was Pritan Ambroase, the CEO of Hollywood Insid - er, who was moved to tears by the various speak - ers. Mr. Ambroase has traveled to the war zone in Ukraine as part of his project to provide greater support to the children of Ukraine. Your purchase of one or more of these beautiful NFT collectibles will help us fund the UNWLA's lat - est initiative, Women of Fallen Heroes, which will support the widows of fallen Ukrainian soldiers as well as other UNWLA humanitarian relief projects. If each of our members/supporters purchases just one NFT for $25, the UNWLA will easily raise $30,000–$40,000. A donation of $25, $50, or even $100 is quite modest, but the potential impact is huge. We have all, no doubt, made donations in support of Ukraine. However, the war in Ukraine has not ceased; in fact, it is ramping up significantly. We cannot allow ourselves to grow war-weary. Your donation works just like any other donation that supports UNWLA initiatives; in this case, how - ever, your generosity will be rewarded with a beau- tiful pysanka image that may increase in value. Cre- ate your own portfolio today. Our hope is to add more beautiful pysanky to this collection, created by Sofika and by Ukrainian refugees around the world. Why not buy one or more of these beautiful collect - ibles today? Let us provide hope for Ukrainians suf - fering the consequences of russia's brutal invasion. Let us invest in peace together. Purchase a pysanka NFT today. The collectibles can be purchased on - line at zeromint.com/collections/ or on the UNWLA website, unwla.org.
