21 НАШЕ ЖИТТЯ • Липень-Cерпень 2022 Communication and Engagement Branches coordinate with their Regional Councils or Branches-at-Large Liaisons to obtain information and co - ordinate across regions. Based on reporting, it is clear that improvement is needed in the coordination from branches to the next level in the organizational structure. Regional Councils are the facilitators for information sharing among branches. This is also true for Branches- at-Large Liaisons. Regional Councils and BAL Liaisons should be providing leadership and mentoring to their branches. Key Takeaways ● The organization continues to grow. Education and orientation of new members are foundational to a strong organization and member retention. ● National projects do not enjoy the same level of support as “locally” derived initiatives. ● Regional Councils and Branches-at-Large Liaisons could improve the engagement of branches in region - al-level coordination activities. The UNWLA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM, which celebrates its 55th anniversary this year, has vigorous support from a majority of the branches.
