Our Life | Наше життя August | Серпень 2021 3 In the two years since the new UNWLA website was launched in 2019, we have refined the site considerably, introducing new features, making esthetic improvements, and adding functionality. The site – unwla.org – is a wonderful resource for both members and casual visitors, as it provides an overview of the important work undertaken by our organization throughout its almost 100 years of existence. The UNWLA Social Media Chair during the past term (2017–2021), Oksana Lod - ziuk Krywulych, has chaired the website committee since 2019, overseeing the many improvements of the past two years and acting as the liaison with the website developer to ensure that all approved ideas were properly implement - ed. The website committee included Marianna Zajac, Lydia Jachnycky, Christine Boyko, Nadia Nynka, Ivanka Olesnycky, Iryna Buczkowski, and Natalie Pawlenko. Among the website’s new features: • The Members Portal offers members instant access to all important organ- izational documents, including bylaws, policies and procedures, social wel- fare guidelines, membership forms, and much more. Look for an in-depth tour of the Members Portal in the next issue of Our Life . • Another useful tool is the Membership Map , where prospective members can easily find a branch in their area simply by entering their location. We also have an online form for use by Members-at-Large. • Posts from the UNWLA Facebook page are now being fed directly to the website. • All ŽŶǀĞŶƟŽŶ ŬƐ can now be viewed on the website, and they are fully searchable. No need to look for old copies of Convention books – they are all online. • All Our Life magazines (since the magazine's launch in 1944) are viewable on the site, providing an invaluable resource for both members and visitors needing to research the work of the UNWLA. • The EĞǁƐ ƐĞĐƟŽŶ features the UNWLA’s latest endeavors. Our 95th Anni - versary and 2021 Convention and Round Table videos can be viewed here. • The About Us section highlights the accomplishments of the UNWLA over the decades. It also provides contact information for the entire National Board. UNWLA Website Although work on the website was quite labor-intensive, the results have met our goals: a website that showcases the initiatives of the UNWLA, serves as an excellent re - source and promotional tool, and attracts visitors who may become members of our or - ganization. In fact, we have already received numerous inquiries about membership through the new site. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with the new website and its many recent enhancements. Find out what you may not know about the organization, ex - plore current projects, and learn about all the impor- tant aid that the UNWLA has provided during the past five years.
