Reports for C onvention B ook Chrystia Boyko , 2 nd VP for Membership As you k now, the UNWLA will be holding its XXXIIth National Convention in September 2020. In line with this we will be compiling and publishing a convention book, which includes reports from UNWLA officers, R egional C ouncils, and B r anches . Below are guidelines and deadlines and other information about compiling and submitting these reports. 1. Name your B ranch and patroness and identify city and state. Also s pecify which Regional Council your branch belongs to or whether you are Br anch - at - Large . 2. Set a date to h ave your Branch/Regional Council picture taken. Choose a good background that w ill showcase everyone ( Ukrainian embroidery is suggeste d but optional) . When you send in your picture(s) make sure you follow the instructions given in the Convention Book inf ormational letter with respect to format (JPEG) , size, resolution, cost, etc . D o not hesitate to contact the Convention Book Committee with questions or concerns. We want you to succeed and be happy with your submission. 3. Photo (s) of members. Please in clude full names and s pecify from left to right, seated, first row, etc. 4. Don’t forget to l ist absent members too! Years from now you will be able to go back and read who was a member and approximately for how long. 5. Inc lude branch activities and spec ial events of the last three years ( 2017, 2018, 2019 ) . It’s nice to reminisce . Pick some time at your meetings to help put together an o utline of your hard work. Consider sharing the draft with entire membership before submit ting. You may discover that som e important details have bee n o m itted . H ave someone on the Board read the report for accuracy. 6. A nice option is to conclude with a g reeting to the organizatio n and/or convention attendees. 7. Scour past Convention Books for ideas and suggestions . This is your history. Enjoy the process. 8. Last but not least, please submit your report in a timely manner , adhering to the deadline. The ladies assembling the Convention Book are working tirelessly and doing a fantastic job an d appreciate your input and coo peration.
