UNWLA .ORG 31 ДІЯЛЬНІСТЬ ОКРУГ І ВІДДІЛІВ СУА Philadelphia Regional Council Branch 88 participates in an International Festival by Petrusia Sawchak Petrusia Sawchak, Dora Vynnytsky and Maria Zmurkevych at the International Festival about Ukrainian culture. As part of Branch 88’s Outreach Program to ac- quaint the American community with Ukrainian culture, Chrystyna Prokopovych, president of Branch 88 and curator of the Ukrainian Heritage Studies Center an d Museum at Manor College in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, agreed to participate at Methacton High School’s International Festival. This successful annual event, hosted by the school’s Multicultural Club, was held on Saturday, May 18, in Eagleville, Pa. Many students at Meth- acton High School come from diverse back - grounds, and this festival gave them the oppor- tunity to share their respective cultures with the community. There were 20 cultural exhibits repre- senting countries and international orga nizations fro m around the world. Mrs. Prokopovych provided the exhibit’s artifacts from the Ukrainian Heritage Museum. Dora Vynnytsky, Maria Zmurkewycz and Petrusia Sawchak, three members from Branch 88 who at- tended the event, were eager to an swer many ques- tions about the history and customs of Ukraine posed by many attendees.
