He plans to renovate this property to accommodate a House of Charity and Orphan Care Center. Although our trip to Lviv was brief, it was an extremely remarkable experience. WFUWO and the Assembly 2019 meetings underscored the fact that the power of our united Ukrainian women is without limit. May God grant us all the strength and willingness to continue our humanitarian, cul- tural, and educational projects for the betterment of Ukraine and our own communities here in the diaspora. (Photos see pg.6) Our Cover Artist Roxolana Luczakowsky Armstrong was born in Stanislaviv , Ukraine in 1938 and fled to the West in 1945, settling in Philadelphia in 1950. She studied under the renowned Ukrainian painter Petro Mehyk and at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA), Philadelphia. Armstrong graduated from the Uni- versity of Pen nsylvania’s BFA program. Her corpus of artwork includes church decoration, book illustra- tion, icons, and architectural and landscape painting. Her stained glass (polymer - acrylic) windows adorn many churches and commercial establishments in Spain, where she resided from 1964 to 1980 and exhib- ited widely, including in galleries and museums in Malaga, Leon, and Madrid. She is a member of the Siete Artistas (Seven Artists) group in Torremolinos (Malaga) and has exhibited with this group in various gal- leries on the Costa del Sol. In the United States she has exhibited at the Gallery 100 in Princeton, N.J.; the Ukrainian Institute in New York (1969, 1970 solo exhibitions); the Ukrainian Artists Association; the Penn- sylvania Academy of Fine Arts Fellowship shows; a nd the Contemporary Christian Art shows in Philadel- phia. She also participated in the Eucharistic Congress (2000), the Sacred Art Exhibit at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception (2005), and “Seeing the Sacred” at the Catholic University of America in Wa sh- ington, D.C. (2007). From 1985 to 1999, she worked as an art history teacher at the Oakcrest School, Wash- ington, D.C. Her work is in the permanent collections of the Diocesan Museum of Malaga, Spain; the Mar- ian Institute in Cincinnati; and the John Paul II Center in Washington, D.C. Упродовж багатьох років займалася церковним мистецтвом, книжковою ілюстрацією, архітектурним живописом, писала ікони та пейзажі. Її вітражі при кра - шають багато церков і комерційних установ в Еспанії, де вона про жи ва ла у 1964 — 1980 - х рр. В Еспанії широко виставлялася в ґалеріях і музеях, зокрема в містах Малаґа (Real Academia de Bellas Artes, Salon de Invierno - Biennale), Леон (Banco Industria l de Leon) та Мадрид (Circulo). У 1985 — 1999 - х рр. викладала ми стецтво в Школі Оук - Крест у Ваши нґтоні. Її твори є в постійних колекціях Епархіяльного музею Малаґи (Еспанія), в Інституті Діви Марії в Синсинаті (Ог айо) та в Центрі Івана Павла ІІ у Ваш и нґтоні.
