4 WWW.UNWLA.ORG “НАШЕ ЖИТТЯ”, КВІТЕНЬ 2019 Where Rich History Meets New Opportunities New UNWLA Website Launched by Oksana Lodziuk - Krywulych, UNWLA Social Media Chair The UNWLA is proud to announce the launch of its new website in April. The new website (located at unwla.org ) will provide access to the various projects the UNWLA is involved in, including details about funds spent on Social Welfare projects, Arts and Cul ture, Education, and other UNWLA initiatives. A News and Upcoming Events section informs our members and the general public about the latest UNWLA en- deavors. Those interested in the UNWLA’s achievements will see a history of our accomplishments over the de cades since the organization was founded in 1925. A “Become a Member” section provides infor- mation about the benefits of becoming a UNWLA member along with an online application form. Potential members will find the addition of an interactive branch map he lpful in locating all branches in a particular state. All past issues of Our Life and our convention books will be available on line for download or display. The redesign of the website was a long and elaborate undertaking that involved a committee com- pri sing various UNWLA Board members and others, who came together at the 2017 convention and worked with a web design team in Ukraine. Headed by Yulia Zimmermann, a member of Branch 107 in San Jose, the committee consisted of UNWLA President Marianna Zajac, 1 st VP Lydia Jachnycky, 2nd VP Christine Boyko, 3rd VP Nadia Nynka, Officer - at - Large Mariya Andriyovych, Social Media Chair Oksana Lodziuk - Krywulych, and Liaison for Members at Large Ivanka Olesnycky. UNWLA Secretary Iryna Bucz- kowski joined the endeavor a b it later. Committee members met nearly every Tuesday, via Skype, over the course of more than a full year to discuss projects to be presented, layout and other related matters. Content was provided by various committee members with Ms. Zimmermann serving as the liaison with the design studio in Ukraine. As committee members conducted research on our past achievements and discovered new facts, we were amazed at the rich history of the UNWLA and the tireless efforts of past generations of members of our orga nization. We hope that those achievements will be an inspiration to our current and potential mem- bers to work as tirelessly to help Ukraine achieve its potential greatness. From the onset, the overarching goal of committee members was to develop a dynamic new website that would showcase the wonderful work of the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America, serve as a resource tool and attract new website visitors who might potentially become members of our organiza- tion or who might be inspired to provide monetary assistance for our various endeavors. Future plans include adding more functionality. One feature to be added is a members’ only section, which will include the UNWLA’s bylaws, policies and procedures , reporting forms and other materials. We invite all UNWLA members to browse the new website, and we ask for your feedback, com- ments, observations and suggestions for future enhancements. All responses should be sent to sanalodz@gmail.com. Your feedback will enable us to continually improve and en hance our site.
