UNWLA members assisting at the workshop included Branch 108 President Larissa Swartwout, Treasurer Hanya Sa- lemme, Dionizia Brochinsky, and Chry - styna Horbaty, who dyed all the pysanky. On Palm Sunday, March 25, Mrs. Horbaty and her daughter Chrystyna presented a workshop for family members of the Ukrainian National Home in Southport, Conn. Each July for the past five years, Mrs. Horbaty has participated in the Adopted Children’s Weekend at the Soyuzivka Heritage Center. Spon- sored by the Ukrainian National Association and the Ukrainian Consulate, the event focuses on teaching the art of pysanka decorating to families of children adopted from Ukraine. Mrs. Horbaty’s greatest pleas- ure is se eing the delight on the faces of young people unveiling their first pysanky. She also enjoys promot- ing our beautiful Ukrainian art to the non - Ukrainian public and watching them appreciate our Ukrainian heritage. __________________ ________________ Delighted workshop participants with their completed pysanky at the March 4 workshop with instructor Gloria Horbaty.
