Chrystia Boyko joined an infor- mal gathering of Branch 140 members. The UN- WLA membership VP shared organizational and administrative policies and procedures with this group of attentive and dedicated new members of the UNWLA, and the entire UNWLA Executive Board is looking forward to working with these dy- namic women and their Regional Council. March 9, 2018. Public relations VP Nadia Nynka attended the annual meeting of Branch 134 in Whippany, N.J., and shared current social welfare information with branch members. Each and every UNWLA branch has its own focus based on mem- bership interest, and it is this cohesiveness that makes a branch successful. Annual elections were held and Kaya Nynka and Oksana Mulyk remain co-presidents. March 14, 2018. The UNWLA Executive Board held its monthly meeting via conference call. All members of the Executive Board participated. As the organization has many ongoing projects, there were many issues to be discussed and many deci- sions to make. This monthly column is an excellent method to keep members informed, and we invite you to continue reading it. The Easter season is a time for renewal of spirit, a time for hope, a time for rekin- dling our faith and rejoicing in the Resur- rection of Our Lord. Having become the unofficial “article writer” of Branch 95 (Mid Hudson Region, N.Y.) over the past few years, I often wished that I had started writing articles about our activities a lot sooner. So when I saw the invitation from the editor in the February issue for articles to commemorate the Chornobyl disaster, I was delighted. This was an
