36 WWW.UNWLA.ORG “НАШЕ ЖИТТЯ”, СІЧЕНЬ 2015 APPLE PLATSOK Larysa Stebly, Branch #88 5 apples, sliced in sm. pieces 2 c. sugar 2 eggs 1/2 c. oil 2 tsp . vanilla 2 c. flour ¼ tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 3 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. chopped walnuts Combine apples with sugar , set aside. In large bowl beat eggs , oil and vanil la. Add dry ing redients with apple mix ture and beat for about 2 minutes. Pour i nto a g reased 9 x 13 -inch pan. Bake at 350 0 for about 45 to 50 minutes. PLATSOK WITH PRUNE BUTTER Anna Maksymowych, Branch #43 3/4 lb. sweet butter 5 T. sugar 4 egg yolks 2 hard-boiled egg yolks, grated on fine grater 1 T. sour cream 1 tsp. baking powder 3 c. flour Vanilla sugar Prune butter Apricot jam Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks , egg , sour cream and milk, m ixing well after each addition. Sift flour and baking powder together. Add to butter mixture mixing well. Divide dough in half . Combine apricot jam and prune butter. Roll out 1/2 of the dough and place in pan. Spread apricot jam and p rune but ter on dough . Roll out the remaining dough and cover the jam . Bake at 350 0 until golden. MOTHER’S AMONIAK PLATSOK Oksana Smolynets, Branch #88 Dough: 3 T. milk, warm 20 g ammonium (for cooking) 100 g sweet butter 100 g lard 2 egg yolks 3 T. sour cream 1 c. sugar 500 g flour Pour milk over ammonium (it will fizz). Cream butter, lard, and sugar. Add the remaining ingredients and knead into a dough . Divide dough into 3 pieces. Roll each piece out and place on cookie sheet and bake . Filling: 1 can condensed milk 300 g sweet butter Juice and zest from 1 lemon Beat butter and condensed milk together. Divide in half . When cookie layers are cool, spread 1 with fill ing, top with cookie, spread remaining filling and top with last cookie.
