Ми віримо і відстоюємо Твій ско- рий вихід на волю. Ми гордимося Твоєю хоробрістю і бо- ротьбою за свою правоту. Наша організація нараховує майже 2000 жінок українського походження, які прожива- ють по цілій Америці. Ми не можемо уявити собі Твоєї ситуації, але знай, що Ти є постійно у наших думках і молитвах. Надіємося, що це додасть Тобі сили далі боротися аж до виходу на волю. Ми підтримуємо Тебе і вимагаємо негай- ного звільнення в листах, написаних: до ро- сійської амбасади у Вашінгтоні; до російської місії при ООН в Ню Йорку; до сенатора Гіларі Клинтон – великої поборниці жіночих прав; до комісара людських прав в ООН пана Зеїд Реад ал Гусейна в Швайцарії; до репрезен- тантки Марсі Каптур – співголови Українсько- го Конґресового Кокусу у Вашінґтоні. Також кожна з нас сконтактувалася з на- шими льокальними репрезентантами, прося- чи їх підтримати Твою справу. Магатма Ґанді сказав: «Ви можете заку- вати мене в кайдани, ви можете піддати мене тортурам, ви навіть можете знищити моє тіло, але ви ніколи не ув’язните мою душу.» Ці слова неначе сказані для Тебе. Знай, що ми пам’ятаємо про Tебе і обі- цяємо далі обстоювати Твою справу аж до Твого визволення на волю і повернення в Україну. Ми Тебе любимо і підтримуємо! Слава Україні! We have taken up your cause because we are very proud of you and admire the strength of your convictions! You are a very brave young woman and an example and inspiration to all. We salute and support you! We, the UNWLA, are made up of almost 2000 women of Ukrainian heritage throughout the United States of America. We cannot even begin to fathom your situa- tion ourselves, but please know that you are con- stantly in our thoughts and prayers. We have demanded your immediate release through letters sent to the Russian Embassy here in America, both in Washington, D.C., and the Con- sulate at the United Nations in New York City, NY. We have written to Sen. Hillary Clinton a big pro- ponent of women’s rights, as well as the United Nations High Commissioner of Human Rights, Mr. Zeid Read al-Hussein. We have contacted Marcy Kaptur, co-chair of the Ukrainian Congressional Caucus, for her support, as well as our local repre- sentatives. Mahatma Gandhi said, “You can chain me, you can torture me, you can even destroy this body, but you will never imprison my mind.” It is as if these words were written for you! Please know that you are not forgotten and we will continue to rally for the cause of your re- lease.
