Photo by Olena Sidlovych As part of its mission to highlight the e x- traordinary accomplishments of Ukrainian wo m- en, this past October, Branch 113 of the UNWLA partnered with the Ukrainian Institute of America to present An Evening with Zenia Mucha , current Executive Vice President, Chief Communications Off icer for The Walt Disney Company, and former powerhouse advisor to politicians Governor George E. Pataki and Senator Alfonse D’Amato. Branch president Christina Samilenko opened the evening by contextualizing Mucha’s myriad pr o- fessional accomplishments and awards, which include being named one of The Holmes Report’s 100 Most Important In - House Communicators in the World and making PR Week’s Top 50 Indu s- try Elite list, culminating in the 2012 Matrix Award from New York Women in Communic a- tions, the premiere o rganization for communic a- tions professionals in the metropolitan area.
