Over the years, Benefactors have remembered the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America in their wills. Please keep UNWLA in mind when preparing your will. Simply ask your attorney to include the following, or similar, language: “I gift and devise to the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America, Inc. (UNWLA), a New York State nonprofit corporation, (specify, for example, “Ten Thousand Dollars” or “all residue of my estate”) to be used in furtherance of all charitable purposes of UNWLA.” Ukrainian National Women’s League of America Союз Українок Америки A dynamic, all-volunteer wom en’s organization championing Ukraine’s cultural heritage and providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine’s elderly, the infirm and disadvantaged children in Ukraine and its diaspora The Ukrainian National Women’s League of America, Inc. Founded in New York City in 1925, with branches across the country, the UNWLA is the oldest Ukrainian women’s organization in the United States. The funds raised by UNWLA go toward promoting Ukrainian national identity and cultural heritage; informing the American public about Ukrainian culture, including Ukraine’s literature, arts, ideals, and aspirations; providing financial assistance to Ukrainians within and outside the United States through humanitarian aid, educational studies, and research in Ukrainian history and culture; forging alliances with other Ukrainian, as well as American and international organizations for educational and charitable purposes; and supporting the Ukrainian Museum in New York City.
