money collected to Nastya's mother. Nastya’s mother Olha met us at the hospital, and we spent more than five hours with her. We were unable to see Nastya, who was undergoing medical procedures, but during the long visit with her mother, we learned a little about the family that had become part of our world in such a tragic way. Nastya's parents come from large families living near Kharkiv. Her mother, Olha, is an attractive young woman of 22. She speaks Ukrainian beautifully. Despite her anxiety about her daughter, she greeted us courteously and attentively. During our visit, I discussed financial arrangements with hospital representatives. It was agreed that funds for Nastya's needs would be kept in the UNWLA account and dispersed as needed. Shriners Hospital would notify the UNWLA about specific needs. Nastya's mother agreed that this was a sensible arrangement. Nastya will be here for five or more months for initial treatments. She will have to return to the hospi tal each year until she is 18 for additional treatments. I join all UNWLA members in wishing Nastya a full recovery. I thank all of you who responded so generously when asked to help this brave little girl in her hour of need. Donations for Nastya $1,000 Yuri A.
