In the May issue of Our Life , I reported about our participation in the IV All Ukrainian Congress of Soyuz Ukrainok. In this issue, I would like to share with you the four proposals that the Congress unanimously agreed upon: The Fourth Congress of the Ukrainian National Women’s League of Ukraine proposes: • To prosecute the Communist Party for political crimes committed by ecocide, ethnocide and genocide of Ukraine and its people. The directors and administrators that caused the Chomobyl accident should be accountable for their deeds too. • To forbid the existence of the Communist Party in Ukraine, which constantly works in a destructive manner to eliminate the democratization of Ukraine and to unite Ukraine into the Soviet Russian empire. • To bring to trial the criminals that robbed Ukraine's national treasures, and to punish them according to the law of the land. Those who stole money from the people for their own personal gain and who ran the nation into financial disaster should also be prosecuted. • Soyuz Ukrainok Ukrainy believes that it is necessary to call on women’s organizations in Ukraine to take responsibility for making decisions regarding parents' fiscal and spiritual responsibilities towards their children and to nurture their children to become patriotic and valuable citizens of Ukraine. These proposals were subsequently forwarded to the following: the Verkhovna Rada, President Leonid Kuchma, Cabinet Ministers, organs of the government, the General Prosecutor’s office, courts at all levels, national-democratic associations, and private citizens.
