The UNWLA Regional Council of North New York held its annual meeting during which Marta Stasiuk was re-elected president. UNWLA President Iryna Kurowyckyj took part in the meeting. The Executive Committee of the UNWLA congratulates Ms. Stasiuk on her re- election and wishes her and the entire board much success. • April 9, 2000. The Regional Council of North New York simultaneously celebrated its 45th Anniversary and the 75th anniversary of the founding of the UNWLA. The festivities began with a Holy Liturgy that was dedicated to UNWLA Regional Council members. Keynote speaker at the event was UNWLA President Iryna Kurowyckyj, who dist ributed certificates of recognition to Regional Council President Marta Stasiuk and to branch presidents. • May 2000. It is with joy that we share with you the news that our organization has three new Branches, all of which were founded during the first year of our administration: UNWLA Branch 124 was founded in St. Petersburg, Florida. The president of the newly formed branch is Luba Mycyk. UNWLA Branch 125 was founded in New York City. The president of the newly formed branch is Ludmyla Hrabowska. UNWLA Branch 126 was founded in Boston, Massachusetts. The president of the newly formed branch is Susanna Shpak. • May 13, 2000. In an ecumenical event that was blessed by priests of Catholic and Orthodox denomi nations, newly formed Branch 125 held its christen ing ceremony. Mr. Myroslaw Shmigel and Iryna Kurowyckyj were Godparents (Kumy) at this joyous event. Vice-President Sofia Hewryk, Recording Sec retary Barbara Bachynsky and Social Welfare Chair Nadia Shmigel also attended. The Executive Com mittee of the UNWLA extends warm wishes to the branch members and their president, Ludmyla Hra bowska, in their commitment to the organization. • May 17, 2000 - May 28, 2000. UNWLA President Iryna Kurowyckyj and Social Welfare Chair Nadia Shmigel were in Ukraine to attend the Meeting of the Ukrainian World Coordinating Council and to check on our new "Milk and Roll" project which was created to help the smallest school children in Ukraine. • May 21, 2000. The Regional Council of New Jersey celebrated the 75th Anniversary of the UNWLA. First Vice-President Maria Tomorug represented the Executive Committee and read greetings from Pre sident Kurowyckyj who was in Ukraine at the time. The event was also attended by Honorary President Anna Krawczuk, Chair of the Auditing Committee Joanna Ratych, UNWLA Vice-Presidents and mem bers of the Executive Committee Sofia Hewryk and Oxana Farion, and Press Chair Jaroslawa Rubel. • May 23, 2000. The Ukrainian Institute of America invited the UNWLA to participate in welcoming 10 “НАШЕ ЖИТТЯ”, ЛИПЕНЬ-СЕРПЕНЬ 2000 Видання C оюзу Українок A мерики - перевидано в електронному форматі в 2012 році .
