if QHW'L GFWC clubs and individual members were awarded. Hugh O'Brian, founder of HOBY (Hugh O'Brian World Youth Leadership) was the speaker at the "Hats Off to Club Presidents" luncheon. Mr. O'Brian received a special award for his work with youth over the last forty years. Other speakers included Tamara Traeder, N. Cameron Chandler, Paula Bock (1998 winner of the Jane Cunningham Croly/GFWC Print Journalism Award), Lillian Brown, and Kathy and Bill Magee (co-founders of Operation Smile). Throughout the convention, hospitality, unity and respect for one another was given and felt. The General Federation of Women's Clubs Headquarters is located at 1734 N Street, NW, Washington, DC 20036-2990. GFWC publishes a magazine entitled "Clubwoman". RISHKO On Sunday, October 25, 1998, the New Jersey Regional Council of the UNWLA hosted a lecture by Dr. Roman Procyk, executive director of the Harvard University Ukrainian Studies Fund. The event, held in the parish hall of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin in New Brunswick, New Jersey, was organized by Tetiana Rishko, educational chair of the New Jersey Regional Council of the UNWLA, and emceed by Council President Maria Polanskyj. Dr. Procyk's presentation, "Ukrainian Harvard in America and in Ukraine", focused on significant works recently produced under the auspices of the Harvard Ukrainian Studies Institute, and simultaneously published in the United States and in Ukraine.
