Social Welfare Chair Lidia Czernyk and Scholarship/Student Sponsorship Chair, Luba Bilowchtchuk represented the UNWLA National Board. April 12, 1997. New Jersey. Maria Polanskyj was elected president. Auditing Committee Chair Joanna Ratych represented the UNWLA National Board. April 13,1997. New York-North. Martha Stasiuk was re-elected president. Financial Secretary Nadia Cwiach represented the UNWLA National Board. April 13, 1997. New York. Aleksandra Kirshak was re-elected president. On April 19, 1997 a Public Relations and Ecology Conference was sponsored by the UNWLA Philadelphia Regional Council.
