The first months within our organization are dedi cated to report writing, re-elections and making plans for the year. This is the year of the XXII Convention and branches have the important task of preparing for it. Report or written contributions in the Convention’s commemora tive book give a view of the work of members and the leadership. At the same time, branches have the oppor tunity to realize the extent of their accomplishments in the last three years, and think about their work in the future. Preparing a delegate to take part in the Convention is an important task of each branch. The Executive Committee of UNWLA has sent explicit instructions concerning the Convention and the delegates: the num ber of delegates allowed from each branch, the respon sibilities of the branches, registration, and other matters of technical nature. Members-at-large are invited to take part in the XXII Convention. They too were sent information by mail. UNWLA extends a warm welcome to guests who would like to attend the Convention. Interested individuals are asked to seek information within the local branch of UNWLA. Education Secretary Olha Trytiak will present an exhbit of photographs during the XXII Convention, entitled “Children in photographs.” The photos are from various nursery and pre-schools, from Europe (1945- 1949) and from pre-schools run by UNWLA up to the year 1939.
