The Editorial Staff and the Administration of “OUR LIFE” NEWS FROM HEADQUARTERS: The Regional Council of UNWLA in New York held a community appreciation and commendation banquet honoring Mrs.Lidia Krushelnytsky. The event, held on March 18, 1989 and attended by more than 400 in dividuals, detailed Mrs. Krushelnytsky’s dedication to and work with Ukrainian youth and her efforts to preserve and propagate the beauty of Ukrainian per forming arts. The National Board of UNWLA extends sincere con gratulation to Mrs. Krushelnytsky and best wishes for continued success in her work! From Anna Krawchuk, Scholarship Chairman — In 1988 the Scholarship Fund of UNWLA supported 991 students, paying $207,491,309 in tuition costs. Special thanks to the administrator of the Scholarship office Luba Bilouschuk. With her help we have been able to send the necessary funds to South America at their midyear. In 1988 our correspondence totalled more than 2,000 letters. Thank you to all members of the Scholarship Com mittee and UNWLA for their dedication to this program. Special thank you to Orysia Jacus’, the treasurer of the Scholarship Committee of UNWLA for her expemplary bookkeeping. There are really no words to express my gratitude for the work which is carried on in our Branches, our Regional Councils and by our Members at Large in securing sponsors for this program. I would also like to express sincere gratitude to the representatives of the Scholarship Committee UNWLA, to Ukrainian National Women’s League of Australia and to the Fraternity of Ukrainian Catholics in Montreal, Canada. We are immensely grateful to all the sponsors and people of good will for their financial support, for their trust in our efforst and confidence in the youngsters they help.
