ДВІ ЧЛЕНКИ ЕКЗЕКУТИВИ СУА ОДЕРЖАЛИ ПРОФЕСІЙНІ ВІДЗНАЧЕННЯ. Іванна Ратич — перша заступниця голови одержала від Амбасадора Республіки Німеччини у Вашінґтоні відзначення німецько-американської приязні, як признання за заслуги у плеканні німецько-американ ських відносин. Це відзначення вручено у спеціяльній церемонії у вівторок, 24-го травня 1988 р. в резиденції Амбаса дора 740 Парк Авеню, Нью-Йорк. Лист підписаний Генеральним Консулем Федеральної Республіки Ні меччини Леопольдом Вілл фон Бредав. Mrs. Iwanna Ratych, First Vice President of UNWLA, was the recipient of the G e rm a n -A m e ric a n F rien ds hip A w ard, applauding her efforts on behalf of German- American relations. The award was presented to Mrs. Ratych in a special ceremony held on May 24, 1988 in the New York residence of the Ambassador from the Federal Republic of Germany, Leopold Bill von Bredow. Церемонія відбулася 22-го травня у Катедрі св. Серця, під час відзначення 50-ліття Архидієцезії Ньюарку. Медалю вручив Кардинал Дж. О’Коннор і Архиєпископ Теодор Е. Мк Каррік, який підкреслив приналежність Лідії Гладкої до Української Като лицької Церкви св. Івана Хрестителя в Ньюарку, а теж її активність у цій парафії та в українській гро маді. The Jubilee M e d a l p ro meritis, an award for distinguished service to the Archdioces of Newark was presented to Mrs. Lydia Hladky, Third Vice President of UNWLA. Mrs. Hladky, who has worked in the Seaton Hall Univer sity Library for 27 years, was presented with the medal by the Most Reverend Theodore E. McCarrick, Archbi shop of Newark, at a special ceremony on May 22, 1988, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Newark. The Executive Board of UNWLA and the editorial staff of OUR LIFE extend sincerest congratulations to Mrs. Ratych and Mrs. Hladky. sense o f re s p o n s ib ility th a t is so e v id e n t in b o th w om en.
