Скульптура Ані Фаріон. The Seaside Fete is well on its way to becoming a tradition as a cultural and social affair every Spring, as well as a successful fundraiser for the Ukrainian Museum. Its idea originated with Mr. Julian and Mrs. Maria Baczynsky of New York. With their continued help and organized with the benefit of the expertise of select members of the Museum staff and Fundraising IN GRATITUDE ..... Branch 32, Ukrainian National Women’s League of Amer ica, based in Irvington, NJ, would like to commend Lydia Bokalo, Maplewood, NJ, for her assistance in translating over 100 notes and letters received from Ukrainians in Poland, Ukraine and Brazil. Branch 32, an English- speaking branch of UNWLA, has sent over 600 packages of clothing to needy orphans and widows in Ukrainian communities. Without the valuable contribution of Lydia Bokalo, our members would be unable to comprehend the messages and greetings which were sent in response to our donations of clothing. Thank you, Lydia Bokalo! Katria Oranska Petryk, vocalist. Катя Оранська-Пвтик співає. Committee, the Fete has become an eagerly anticipated “hapening” on the greater Ukrainian American commu nity calendar. The beautiful setting, the easy going style and the friendly and casual atmosphere is the hallmark of each affair. The Ukrainian Museum is in the process of initiating a capital fund raising campaign for its proposed new building. Seaside Fete III enriched this program by $10,000 in donations and pledges.
