Women's Hall of Fame Dedicated At World's Fair A W om en’s H all of Fam e was dedicated on M ay 27 by R obert Moses, P resid en t of th e New Y ork W orld’s F air. Located in th e O fficial W orld’s F a ir H os p itality C enter in th e P u rex P enthouse of th e B etter L iving C enter, th e H all of F am e pays trib u te to ten living and ten dead o u tstanding A m erican women of th e 20th century who w ere selected by U. S. m agazine and new spaper wom en’s editors from 100 nom inees in all fields of hum an endeavor. H elen K eller and E leanor Roosevelt received th e m ajo rity of votes. Jacqueline Kennedy, who was selected as one of th e top 10 living w inners, expressed h er appreciation b u t stated she is still not accepting any aw ards or honors. M arg aret T rum an Daniel, H onorary Co-Chairm an of th e F a ir’s W om en’s A dvisory Coun cil, read th e citations a t th e dedi cation cerem ony as a P u rex rep resen tativ e presented th e w in ners w ith a “W om an’s Touch A w ard,” a gold verm eil vase w ith a Royal W orcester porce lain flow er. K atherine Cornell, fam ous stage actress, accepted th e aw ard fo r Miss Keller. A m ong th e guests a t th e dedi cation and reception w hich fol lowed w ere M rs. M ary D ush nyck, who served as th e UN- W LA ’s liaison w ith th e W orld’s F a ir H ospitality C enter, w here she was in charge of U krainian hostesses and a reception fo r A m erican wom en leaders on Sep tem ber 25, 1964, attended by rep resen tativ es from 20 U N W LA branches. M rs. D ushnyck w as also in charge of an exhi b it presented by B ranch 72 on A pril 23, 1965 w hich w as shown on Color Television a t th e RCA C enter a t th e F air.
