UNWLA Highlights Since October, 1964 we have been mailing out newsletters in the English language for the benefit of American born UNWLA mem bers. Newsletters Nos. 6 and 7 have already reached you and have informed you of all the latest undertakings of our organization. * On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Ukrainian Wom en’s Movement we have prepared a concise history of the Move ment. The English-language paper, prepared with the help of Mrs. Alexandra Riznyk, has been sent out to Branches, whose members are American-born. * * In January 1965 all Branches received material, describing a traditional Ukrainian Sviat Vechir. The paper was prepared in English by Mrs. Irene Kashubynska, UNWLA Organizational Chair man on the occasion of the presentation of a Ukrainian Christmas Eve in the Main Library in Cleveland. Some 350 University of Bridgeport students gathered at the Ukrainian Hall to participate in the “ethnic night,” one of a series of annual get-togethers between the collegians and mem bers of the various ethnic groups in the city. Members of UNWLA Branch 73 prepared a traditional Uk rainian dinner, displayed handi crafts, presented a style show of Ukrainian costumes and render ed a number of folk dances. Highlight of the program was a vivid narrative of the history of the Ukrainian people by Miss Oksana Dragan of Jersey City, N. J.
