V ery little lab o r w en t in to th e p re p a ra tio n of th is dance an d a sizeable p ro fit w as realized. T h is w as th e f ir s t tim e su ch a dance w as p lan n ed an d it proved to be a su ccessfu l v e n tu re . T he Ju n e M eetin g w as held a t th e hom e of M rs. W a lte r Ship- k a an d a sp lash p a r ty w hich m o st of th e g irls p a rtic ip a te d in follow ed th e b u sin ess m eetin g . R e fre sh m e n ts w ere served. A ll N a tio n s F a ir held a t th e H otel S ta tle r H ilto n in Cleve land, O hio, w h ere m o st of th e n a tio n a litie s w ere re p re se n td by costum ed p erso n s w ith th e ir d is p lays. O ur m em b ers took tu rn s a t th e U k ra in ia n e x h ib it an d en jo y ed m e e tin g th e th o u sa n d s of people w ho q u estio n ed an d p u r ch ased ite m s on sale. In O ctober w e h a d a m em b er sh ip d riv e m eetin g . L ovely in v i ta tio n s w ere se n t to 10 p ro sp ec tiv e m em b ers and also se n t w as a U k ra in ia n em b ro id ered h a n d k e rc h ie f. W e h a d a v e ry nice frie n d ly m e e tin g an d th e p u r pose o f th e Club w ere outlined. N ovem ber m e e tin g w as held a t th e hom e of M rs. W illiam M u ral. P ro g ra m fo r th e ev en in g w as a S ty le Show p re se n te d b y Mil- g rim s, a lead in g W om en’s A p p a re l Shop. T h is w as a v e ry w ell a tte n d e d m eetin g . D elicious r e fre s h m e n ts w ere served. T h a n k sg iv in g b a sk e ts w ere given to tw o (2) needy fam ilies. E a c h b a sk e t co n tain ed 80 food item s. A C h ristm a s g if t of m oney w as given to th re e (3) d ese rv in g needy fa m ilie s ; a g irl w ith cere b ra l palsy, a w idow er w ith chil d re n an d a g irl w ith m u ltip le sclerosis. E a c h of th e se receiv ed $25.00. O ur m em b e rs’ C h ristm a s P a r ty w as held a t 13 Colony R e sta u r a n t on B ro o k p ark R oad, C leve land. W e h a d a g if t ex ch an ge and enjoyed an evening o f la u g h te r an d good food. W e h av e h a d a v e ry activ e y e a r an d h av e accom plished a g re a t deal in o u r o rg an izatio n . O ur B ra n c h is accom p lishing w h a t th e y s e t o u t to do w hen th e g ro u p w as organized.
