ЛОМА PRYMA AT TOWN HALL Miss P rym a’s recital, held on M arch 26 i n Town Hall, New York, became a great success. The perform ance was billed as “Dances and Characters of Uk raine.” H er num bers such as '“The Lapwing,” “The H arvest er,” “H orrors of W ar,” and “Icons” thrilled the audience. T he exquisitely designed cos tum es contributed to the general spectacle. As usual Mrs. Johanna Prym a accompanied her daughter on the piano and for th is recital W illiam Shust, th e Ukrainian-Am erican professional actor was engaged as n arrator. Mr. Shust read the specially prepared lines introduc ing each num ber and set th e mood for it. Miss Prym a is planning fu r th e r recitals in Philadelphia and Chicago. UKRAINIAN STUDENT FROM CHILE Recently Christine Stefaniv- sky, an U krainian student from Santiago, visited th e UNWLA H eadquarters. Young Christine, born in Ukraine, settled w ith her parents in Chile, a fter World W ar II. There she studied jour nalism ; and in her th ird year was elected to participate in a course of student leaders from L atin America, which was held in Houston, Texas. A fter th e course, she visited her friends in Philadelphia. Lesya Ukrainka TO THE STARS Happy are ye, all ye spotless stars. L ast Saturday Mrs. Shumeyko in company of tw enty other travel agents from th e U. S. left on a orientation tour of Poland, as guests of th e Pan American Airways.
