OFFICER FETED UNW LA BRANCH 24 The members of UNW LA Branch in Elizabeth, N. J., feted Mrs. M ary Greta, a charter mem ber at a special meeting, in hon or of her 25 years of consecutive service as club treasurer. Mrs. M aria Procak, president, reviewed Mrs. G reta’s activities since the Branch’s inception in 1932. Mrs. M aria Luniak, toast- m istress, presented the celebrant w ith a g ift in behalf of the members. An appropriately de corated cake was presented by Mrs. Korytko. Daughters of Branch members in Astoria, N. Y., Roma Greczylo, Nancy Mass and Anna Rywak, dancing the Ukrainian dance Ho- ny Viter. Y., with a M other-D aughter Evening. H ighlight of the evening was a of Mrs. Sofia Greczylo who recit ed a poem in Ukrainian, For Mo th ers’ D ay ; Nancy Mass, daugh ter of Mrs. Helen Mass, who played several selections on the accordion; M ary Louise Nikos, daughter of Mrs. Marie Nikos, who played the piano and Anne Rywak, daughter of Mrs. Cath erine Rywak, who also played pieces on th e accordion. Roma, Nancy and Anna also danced the Hony V iter. The evening ended During the recent Prim ary Elections on April 26, 1960 Mrs. Helen Panam arenko, who was appointed last year replacing the late Louis H argrave, was now elected to the office of Repub lican Committee woman. Helen Panam arenko got her earlier training in Republican politics by joining w ith her hus band Paul, the Young Republi cans of Philadelphia. C.
