UNWLA Highlights In deep sorrow the UNWLA received the telegram from Ottawa reporting of the passing of Olena Kisilevska, President of WFUWO and Honorary Member of UNWLA. The Regional Councils of U N WLA are preparing memorial evenings in honor of her long and fruitful work for Ukraine. We likewise ask our Branches to mark off the sad event of passing of one of famous Ukrainian women, at their next meet ing. The WFUWO has initiated a collection for the monument to be erected on the grave of the renowned Ukrainian patriot Olena Kisilevska at Ottawa where she lived her last years. In accordance with the resolution of the XI Convention of U N WLA every UNWLA member is obligated to donate $1 toward the de frayal of the mortgage on UNWLA home. This does not mean, however, that one cannot contribute more. The lists for donations were sent out to all Branches which ought to be returned after the collection is completed. So far 11 lists have /been published. Be so good as to quicken the collec tion! We repeat here good tidings of formation of the new UNWLA Branch 67 at Perth Amboy, N. J. The first meeting took place on April 7 at which our President Mrs. Helen Lototsky was present and addressed the members of the new Branch. We greet and welcome into our ranks Mrs. Olga Hritsay, the Chairman of Branch 67, and wish her as well as all the Members of the Branch all the success in their patriotic work. to lead them out of their dfficul- ties. It is as though there was in the heart of Ukrainian woman, al though he is quite unknown to them, the thought of Thomas Jefferso n : “I swear on the altar of God eternal hostility against all forms of tyranny over the minds of men.” And, too, I feel that each and every one of these women, w her ever they may be still influence the whole onward movement. It warm s my heart to see a pic ture of the UNW LA office and building at 909 N. Franklin St. W hat busy, fascinating days you must have there, your finger on the pulse of the world. How much I would like to drop in some bright morning. W herever Olena Kisilevska is would you please extend to her ni}' best wishes. I have thought of her so often down through the years.
