I was amazed that I should be asked, for I am a ■comparatively new member of the SUA, and I wondered at the faith which the older members had in me. I wras terrified for I feared that I could not live up to expectations. I wondered still more when I was told what my subject was to be, J:hat subject being, “Why Ukrainian American Youth Should Band Together/' It seem ed to me that I should be com missioned to write a book rather than give a short Jtalk for here is a subject with endless possibi lities, a subject ’that can be look ed at fro .mmany points of view, a subject near and dear to my own heart. 1 wonder how many of you realize that it has only been re cently that we1 have heard so much of bringing Ukrainian American Youth into the fold.
