The UNWLA Fundraising Specialist

The UNWLA Fundraising Specialist is a part-time paid position reporting to the UNWLA President or her designee.

This individual plays a key role in driving the organization’s Centennial Fundraising Campaign by identifying opportunities, building relationships with donors, and managing fundraising initiatives.

The Fundraising Specialist must have demonstrated commitment to advancing women’s issues, leadership, or empowerment through prior professional experience, volunteer work, or advocacy.

Core Responsibilities:
• Assume the lead on a Centennial Fundraising campaign and manage volunteer teams across the US
• Research, cultivate and maintain a network of potential donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
• Ensure existing major donors remain engaged and satisfied with their contributions.
• Write compelling fundraising proposals and donor communications.
• Manage budgets and track progress toward fundraising goals.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, or related fields.
• Exceptional communication, public speaking and relationship-building skills.
• Strong leadership and motivational abilities for colleagues and volunteers.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor management systems.
• Experience writing grant proposals, press releases, or fundraising letters.
• Passion for research and ability to identify funding opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, public relations, or a related field.
• Certification in fundraising or equivalent professional qualification.
