Dear Soyuzanky,

Precisely 135 years ago, two strong-willed Ukrainian women authors united their colleagues in publishing the almanac called “The First Wreath.” A rather revolutionary endeavor, it contained more than 40 works, all written by women. The idea of the almanac was simple: “Sisters, let’s come together!” «З’єднаймося, сестри!»

As we celebrate the 135th Anniversary of “The First Wreath,” this message has not lost its relevance today. Let’s unite in our prayers, work, and mission: advocate, educate, cultivate, and care for Ukraine.
