Ukrainian Women’s Group Raises Funds for Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine

Garden enthusiasts can enjoy the return this year of the Annual Ukrainian
Women’s Garden Tour. Organized by the local branch of the nonprofit
Ukrainian National Women’s League of America (UNWLA), the event is set
for Saturday, June 24 from 11am – 2:30 pm (rain date June 25).
Hosted by a family in Brick NJ, the garden is exceptional and features over
200+ species and varieties of plants, including many native plants. A master
gardener will be on hand to tour the plants and hold a mini workshop on
garden border boarding. The show will feature crafts, small gifts and plants
donated by local nurseries
“This year’s event is dedicated to raising funds for the those affected by the
world’s largest man-made disaster, the destruction of the Nova Kakhovka
Dam in Ukraine” says UNWLA Branch president Tamara Tallman. The dam
traverses Ukraine’s enormous Dnipro River, holding back a huge reservoir
of water. The release of the water has displaced thousands of people, and
wreaked havoc in a huge part of the country.
Tickets must be purchased in advance by calling Tamara at 732-492-3408 or
