UNWLA community has united in a series of events commemorating the Independence Day of Ukraine. Our soyuzanky organized rallies, flag-raising ceremonies, poetry readings, movie screenings, and candlelight prayers for our ancestral country. Many of our members have successfully invited their elected officials – local, state, and federal – to their events. Multiple states and cities signed proclamations to honor August 24th, and landmarks were lit blue and yellow – the colors of the Ukrainian flag. Spanning from coast to coast, our members showed great unity and solidarity with Ukraine in these challenging times.
